- The market starts week negative as the NSE ASI sheds 0.32% to end today’s trading session.
- The NSE ASI closed at 31,628.85 while the market capitalization decreased by N29 billion to close at N10.80 trillion. The decrease took the week–to–date, the month–to–date and the year-to-date markets returns to a deeper loss of 0.32%, 5.46% and 8.74% respectively.
- Two out of the five key Sectoral indices appreciated. While the industrial goods and the insurance indices recorded gains of 0.50% and 0.03% respectively, the consumer goods, the banking and the oil & gas indices recorded losses of 1.15%, 1.02% and 0.85% respectively.
- Market breadth was negative as 31 losers over 10 gainers were recorded. Volume traded decreased by 44.35% to 264.36 million shares, valued at N47 billion and traded in 3,049 deals. The highest gainer recorded was UNITYBNK with a 4.68% gain in its price, while TRANSEXPR on the other hand was the highest loser with 11.11% loss in its price.
