Today’s loss was a result of the depreciation in share prices of some high cap stocks like DANGCEM with -0.77%, TOTAL with -0.38%, NB with -0.37% and GUINNESS with -0.21%.
The decrease took the week–to–date to a reduced gain of 0.37% while the month–to–date and year-to-date markets returns to a deeper loss of -2.71% and -3.68% respectively.

The market breadth was negative as 26 losers over 17 gainers were recorded.
Volume traded decreased by -25.18% to 208.09 million shares, valued at N2.24 billion and traded in 3,787 deals. The highest gainer recorded was UPL with a 7.44% gain in its price, while VONO on the other hand was the highest loser with -8.70% loss in its price.
