Transaction on the floor of the Stock Exchange on Monday, 29th January 2024, sustained a 13th-day consecutive bullish run and closed the first trading day of the week on a positive note. The  All Share Index appreciated by 2.22% to settle at 104,674.67 from the previous close of 102,401.88. This brings the year-to-date to 39.17%,  the month-to-date to 39.17%, and the week-to-date to 2.22% respectively.

Market Capitalisation closed at N57.282 trillion. An aggregate of 669,798,313 units of shares was traded in 15,655 deals valued at N25,544,980,572.72

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed negative as 24 equities gained while 38 equities declined in share prices.

Percentage Gainers

OandoPlc led other gainers with 9.96% growth to close at  N13.80 from its previous price of N12.55.

Dangote Cement, Tripple Gee and Company, and Berger Paints Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.93, 9.89%%, and 9.81% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Daar Communication and Ikeja Hotel Plc led other price decliners as they shed 10% each off their share price to close at N0.81 and N.75 from their previous close of N0.90 and N7.50 respectively

Cadbury Nigeria, NPF Micro Finance Bank, and Ellah Lakes Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by  9.80%, 8.88%, and 8.48% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Japaul Gold Plc traded about 83.865 million units of its shares in 766 deals, valued at N269.573 million

Transcorp Plc traded about 42.804 million units of its shares in 958 deals, valued at N690.448 million

Access Bank Holding Plc traded about 33.757 million units of its shares in 643 deals, valued at N157.820 million
