Transaction on the floor of the Stock Exchange on Wednesday 20th, December, 2023, sustained its bullish runs and close on a positive note. The  All Share Index appreciated by 1.28% to settle at 73,397.71 from the previous close of 72,410.10. This brings the year-to-date to 42.63%, the month-to-date to 2.84% and the week-to-date to 1.39% respectively. 

Market Capitalisation closed at N40.164trillion. An aggregate of 554,644,050 units of shares was traded in 7,910 deals valued at 12,829,250,316.96

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as 37 equities gained while 24 equities declined in share prices.

Percentage Gainers
Multiverse Mining and Exploration and Transcorp Plc led other gainers with 10% growth each to close at N11.55 andN7.70 from their previous price N10.50 and N7.00 respectively

Infinity Trust Mortgage Bank, E-Tranzact and Caverton Offshore Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.97%, 9.73% and 9.66% respectively.

Percentage Losers
Tantalizer Plc led other price decliners as it shed 10%  off its share price to close at N0.45 from its previous close of N0.50

Thomas Wyatt, The Initiative and Juli Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 9.86%, 9.32% and 9.23% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Guaranty Trust Holding (GTCO) Plc traded about 89.454million units of its shares in 362 deals, valued at N3.578billion

Access Bank Holding Plc traded about 59.715million units of its shares in 483 deals, valued at N1.367billion.

Transcorp Plc traded about 51.959million units of its shares in 484 deals, valued at 374.570million
