Transaction on the floor of the Stock Exchange on Friday, September 8, 2023, closed the last trading day of the week on a positive note. The  All Share Index appreciated by 0.09% to settle at 68,143.34 from the previous close of 68,082.11. This brings the year-to-date to 31.44%, the month-to-date to 2.38% and the week-to-date to 0.91% respectively.

Market Capitalisation closed at N37.296Trillion. An aggregate of 483,488,695 units of shares were traded in 6,555 deals valued at N8.341billion.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive  as a total of 29 equities gained while 17 equities declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers
Oando Plc led other gainers with 10% growth to close at  N7.70 from its previous price of N7.00

Computer Warehouse Group (CWG), Neimeth Pharmaceutical and Ikeja Hotel Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.89%, 9.80% and 8.93% respectively.

Percentage Losers
Chellaram Plc led other price decliners as it shed 9.94% off its share price to close at N2.90 from its previous close of N3.22

Omatek Venture, ABC Transport and Thomas Wyatt Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 9.37%, 8.13% and 7.83% respectively.

Volume Drivers
FCMB Plc traded about 116.868million units of its shares in 125 deals, valued at N791.357million

Access Bank Holding Plc traded about 36.251million units of its shares in 385 deals, valued at N631.843million.

Oando Plc traded about 34.227 million units of its shares in 444 deals, valued at N260.195million
