The BULLISH run on the exchange was sustained on Tuesday February 28, 2023 as Transactions on the floor of the Stock Exchange  for the last trading day of the month closed on a positive note. The  All Share Index appreciated by 0.86% to settle at 55,806.26 from the previous close of 55,328.42. This brings the year-to-date to 7.92%, the month-to-date to 4.69% and the week-to-date to 1.56% respectively.

Market Capitalisation closed at N30.30.41trillion. An aggregate of  237,092,803 units of shares were traded in 4,341 deals valued at N4.392billion.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as 35 equities gained while 10 equities declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

MRS Oil Nigeria and OANDO Plc led other gainers with 10% growth to close at N36.85, and N4.84 from their  previous prices of N33.5 and N4.40 respectively

Stanbic IBTC Holding, C & I Leasing and McNichols Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.88%, 9.64% and 9.09% respectively.

Percentage Losers

Multiverse Minning and Exploration Plc led other price decliners as it shed 10% off its share price to close at N3.96 from the previous close of N4.40

CWG, Flour Mills Nigeria and Chams Holding Company Plc, were amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 9.09%, 8.44%, and 7.14% respectively.

Volume Drivers

Fidelity Bank Plc traded about 39.979million units of its shares in 223 deals, valued at N201.971million.

Zenith Bank Plc traded about 34.247million units of its shares in 350 deals, valued at N907.535million.

OANDO Plc traded about 22.568million units of its shares in 328 deals, valued at N109.095million
