Transactions on the floor of the Stock Exchange on Friday closed on a positive note as the All Share Index appreciated by 0.42% to settle at 49,706.09 from the previous close of 49,499.43 This brings the year-to-date to 15.83%, the month-to-date to 13.70% and the week-to-date to 4.27% respectively.

Market Capitalisation closed at N27.074trillion. An aggregate of  140,367,949 units of shares were traded in 2,063 deals valued at N4.020billion.

Market Breadth

The market breadth closed positive as 30 equities gained while 10 equities declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Geregu Power Plc  led other gainers with 10% growth to close at N115 from the previous price of N105

Thomas Wyatt Nigeria, SCOA and Honeywell Flour mill Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.46%, 9.09% and 8.96% respectively.

Percentage Losers
Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Plc led other price decliners as it shed 7.69% off it share price to close at N0.60  from the previous close of N0.65

Chams, Conerstone Insurance and Mutual Benefit Assurance plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 4.35%, 3.85% and 3.57% respectively.

Volume Drivers

UPDCREIT traded about 50.390million units of its shares in 21 deals, valued at N151.162million.

Geregu Power Plc traded about 12.891million units of its shares in 96 deals, valued at N1.344billion.

UACN Plc traded about 10.478million units of its shares in 47 deals, valued at N110.380million
