Transactions on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange on Thursday closed on a positive note as the All Share Index appreciated by 0.40% to settle at 47,510.38 points, from the previous close of 47,367.31 points, bringing the year-to-date to 1.60%, the month-to-date to 0% and the week-to-date to 1.91% respectively.
Investors gained N77Billion as market capitalisation appreciated by 0.30% to close at N25.613trillion from the previous close of N25.536trillion. An aggregate of 385.182Million units of shares were traded in 6,212 deals valued at N4.022Billion.
Market Breadth:
The market breadth closed positive as 21 equities gained while 16 equities declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers:
SFSREIT Plc led other gainers with 10% growth to close at N77 from the previous close of N70.
Meyer UPDC and Chams Plc amongst other gainers also grew their share prices by 7.40%, 7.30% and 5.0% respectively.
Percentage Losers:
Dangote Suger Plc led other price decliners as it shed 5.10% off its share price to close at N15.85 from the previous close of N16.70.
RTBRISCDE, Afriprud and UBN Plc amongst other losers also shed their share prices by 5.0%, 4.80% and 4.60% respectively.
Volume Drivers:
Fidelity Plc traded about 74.813mIllion units of its shares in 262 deals, valued at N280.033million.
Sterling Bank Plc traded about 45.533million units of its shares in 258 deals, valued at N63.746million.
Accesscorp Plc traded about 33.865million units of its shares in 242 deals, valued at N347.126million.
